We all have a choice...
What we eat. How we dress. What time to go to sleep. Who we hang out with. The list goes on and on.
We also have a choice in our work. What do you want to do? What inspires you? What would get you excited to get up in the morning to work on?
For most of us, the idea of getting up for work creates sadness and frustration. The best we can hope for apathy. Sad right? Think of your five closest friends. How do they feel about their jobs? Do they enjoy work? Feel satisfied in what they do?
If you are like most people, after analyzing your five closest friends (and yourself), you might recognize the misery most people feel when it comes to work. In fact, recent polls show 70% of Americans do not like their job. 70%!!
Time to break free of this disillusionment. Time to begin looking for work that creates value and offers you a sense of purpose and peace. For each of us, that journey is going to look different. For me, it means developing more opportunities to connect with other counselors and like-minded people. It also means developing more financial opportunities while working remotely, rather than sitting in an office all day. I want to spend time with family, travel, and helping others build the life they want.
What do you want??
